Offworld Trading Company and Gonner, the Epic Games Store's free games from last week, will be followed up by Anodyne 2: Return to Dust, A Short Hike, and Mutazione from March 12-19, the company announced on Thursday.

A Short Hike, Mutazione, and Anodyne 2 were all released in 2019. A Short Hike, created by Adam Robinson-Yu, debuted on Windows PC, and is exactly what it sounds like — a leisurely stroll up a mountain. We thought it was one of 2019's best games. Mutazione, developed by Die Gute Fabrik, was released on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Apple Arcade. We loved it for its dramatic, sweet soap opera story that showcased the game's fantastic writing. Anodyne 2: Return to Dust, by Sean Han Tami and Marina Kittaka, is a follow-up to 2013's Anodyne.

It's one stacked week for Epic Games Store free games — all three games are finalists for the 22nd annual Independent Games Festival Awards' grand prize.

The Epic Games Store launched in 2019 and served players more than 70 free games during the year. The company said it will continue that pattern — new games every week — throughout 2020.
