Kojima Productions clearly doesn't need to be dragged into any exclusivity deal on PC
The Windows PC version of Death Stranding was recently announced for a Summer 2020 release window, and is now available to pre-order on both the Steam AND Epic Games Store digital storefronts. That certainly lays to rest any doubts over potential storefront exclusivity for the upcoming PC port!
That puts Death Stranding in the same company as titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, which will see simultaneous launches across both Valve and EGS during their respective release dates.
Death Stranding is clearly going to be a big enough deal to get top billing across both Steam and EGS despite "only" being available for pre-order, but at the same time it shows Kojima Productions is similarly a big enough deal to not get dragged into playing favorites between either storefront.
Meanwhile, Death Stranding launches today for the PlayStation 4 console platform!
